ARTEIRO
has been a synonymous with decoration and landscaping
for over 20 years. It doesn't really matter the soil condition
or the lot dimensions: there is always a good idea to
fit perfectly the clients needs. The landscape designer
Sonia Infante is known all over Brazil by many of her
outstanding projects. She is an enthusiastic of colors.
She signed the whole project for the field mass that took
place in Aterro do Flamengo (Rio de Janeiro) in honor
to the Pope John Paul II's visit, in 1997. The place got
a huge garden with seventeen stages, filled by 8 thousands
flowers and tropical plants.
With
the help of her daughter Daniela, Sonia has already
made many projects for the showbizz world. She cultivates
in her own garden the masterpiece of her work: a variety
of nice and unusual flowers, like the 'solano', which
petals look like crepe paper, or even the 'Mexican salvia',
very similar to the French lavender. With the flowers
of the season, Sonia keeps the garden flourished all
year long. But it's with the help of technology that
mother and daughter create special and cozy surroundings,
easy to irrigate and illuminate.

| Recycled
wood is the main source for the great variety of furniture
in ARTEIRO. Brazilian craftsmen carve unusual woods. Antiques
that were originally used in farms in the nineteenth century,
have a new purpose in ARTEIRO, getting new shapes as tables,
chests, dressers and many others. Through the use of patina
and different painting coats, the results are very similar
to those in the American country style or to the beautiful
pieces from the French region called Provence.

| ARTEIRO
deals with objects and the creativity is the limit. Inspired
by the tropical beauty and the Brazilian folk art, these
objects are made of tin, iron, wood, clay. They evoke, each
one, the history of their origin. The Jequitinhonha Valley
(located in the country side of Brazil) as an example, is
the place of many potteries, ceramics made by naïve
artists.
Indian
ornaments, with animal feathers or seeds are made by Brazilian
tribes and they're a sign of their passion for the nature:
native indians keep the animals alive and only work with
the feathers by the time of the birds molt.
The
Palm tree leaves become colored objects for decoration.
The basketry work uses fibers from special trees as Buriti
and Sisal. Even the paper enhances thousands of objects,
by manipulating the cellulose. Artists carve animals in
their natural shape, showing the diversity of Brazilian
fauna. The perfect combination among other rustic materials
also shows the good taste and technique of crafstmen from
many other countries. That's why ARTEIRO, in Itaipava
is the best choice for handicraft from all over the world.
